Sim Lab

This semester, Junior nursing students are able to practice their skills on Sim Man; a talking, breathing, vomiting, de-saturating manican! What a fun day!

The first part of the clinical scenario begins with a nurse from the last shift giving report.... some things may be left out of report, like in the real world! Roles were divided between RN, CNA, Visitor/Family Member, and Recorder.

Sim Man awaits. In this scenario, Sim Man is on Neutropenic Precautions, and the girls were great with removing the fresh cut flowers from his room!

The whole thing is recorded so it can be reviewed later.

Listening to Sim Man's belly, heart, and lung sounds.

Monitoring his vitals using the monitor:

It wouldn't be Sim Lab without Sim Man going down hill and having to put a call in to the Doctor. Always remember SBARR!

Great job, girls!
